yea, yea-i haven't been a-blogging lately. here's why:
i have four jobs now-
1. i'm a mommy/ house wife, well that is really more like 15 jobs in one...driver, maid, personal assistant, cook, photographer, and blah blah blah.
2. i'm a ebay crazy busy selling/shipping/organizing/photographing fool.
3. i'm nanny for baby t, who is a handful now that she is learning how to walk!
4. and now, i am the newest employee of aeropostale{sp?} in our local mall.
rowan has had some skin issues in which the care of take up my last few remaining free moments of the day. she has allergies, allergy spots, eczema, rosy rough cheeks, and some crazy cradle cap =( we took her into the doctor and got a list of things to do to help it {hopefully} go away-but it is a lot to do and remember.
*other than that she is doing great! she is sitting up and eating great. we are readying her for the transition into her and big sister's room by having her take naps in her big crib.
so now onto my breastfeeding rant. and let me just start this off with, how this in no way puts it down. i LOVED breastfeeding {once we got the hang of it} and would still be doing it if the other day i forgot to pump all day and then woke up the next morning mysteriously all dried up. i loved the time i spent cuddling rowan and the added bonus of SUPER weight loss!
anway, so this is more a ponder of how i feel about how much it is talked up for the health benefit.
zoe, came home from the hospital with life threating jaundice and dehydration caused from it. so she almost instantly went to formula-we were broke and i couldn't afford a good pump and she needed to drink from a bottle so her intake could be measured. she had to have that nutramagin{sp?} crazy expensive formula cause of colic and gas.
zoe NEVER had food allergies, didn't even get a sniffle till she was about three, and is just short of a genius {and i'm not just saying this, she is crazy smart}
rowan was strictly breastfed till she was two months, then bottle fed breastmilk and sometimes breastfed till about four months, and now has formula and {what i have stored} frozen breastmilk.
rowan is so far allergic to apples and pears {bummer for her}, has been sick THREE times in only 5 months {and that includes and ear infection}, and she has all these skin problems.
so, i dunno but so far the only benefit i see is that rowan has never had problems with constipation and zoe did big time.
ok, done ranting.
and, for you viewing pleasure...more AMAZING lindsay g. photography {soon to be lindsay and melissa something something.}

5 months old
at her 4 month well-child she weighed15.8 pounds and had gone down a little to the 95%. she was 26.25 inches long and was holding in the 97%.
this last week she has had a terrible ear infection and has been on antibiotics =(
{insert my inqusitive look here-but when zoe was born she had REALLY bad jaundice and because of her treatment and dehydration she pretty much went to formula right away...she didn't get sick, not even a sniffle till she was at least 3! and here's rowan-who is 90% breastfed and this is the second time she has been sick in 5 months, hmmmm.}
she surprised me the other day and finally rolled from her back to her tummy, when i had just looked away no-less. and now she does it at night, which freaks me out a little but i guess that is ok at that point. she still doesn't roll around a ton yet like zoe did-but i'm sure that will start up soon.
she is however almost sitting all by herself, she can go for about 1 minute at a time or even longer if she is holding herself up in the 'tripod' position.
we're head first into solids now-she eats oatmeal and a fruit for breakfast and half a fruit and half a veggie at lunch and rice at dinner. this new adventure with solids though has prompted a difficulty with bottle-she just isn't that interested in them anymore. but don't worry she is still getting what she needs.
as you have probably noticed her eyes are getting HUGE like her big sister's are/were and we LOVE it. when she was first born, we were so sure she wouldn't look anything like zoe and now roan looks exactly like zoe when she was a baby!
always with a HUGE smile on her face!
we all love her bunches =)
till next month...

my new ♥: digital scrapbooking
so i am totally in love with this idea-it is free or REALLY in expensive depending on how you do it. and the only tools you need is a photoshop like program {i use cs2}. which, is also fun to get to use this program-we've had it for awhile and i had totally forgotten how to use it since school but i have totally retaught myself!
i was printing them 12x12 but i think i am going to do a smaller size from now on-i need to go pick out a book! anyway, here they are:

sick
-zoe is sick, still.
-mike is getting over being sick.
-i'm a little sick, mostly just a nagging headache.
-rowan is getting sick, she woke up with a stuffy nose.
-penny is sick, her eye is all gross.
-baby t that i nanny is home sick.
-the car is sick, it won't start.
-and finally...the computer is sick, it has the trojanhorsespywarelosingdatacrash virus!
so, it has been since wednesday that i have posted-sorry. things have been a little crazy, to say the least. so, an update if you will.
ebay-i started selling! the more and more i think it over, the more and more i don't want to go back to work and leave my kids with some half rate sitter. so this is an attempt to avoid that.
me and my mom are going to try ebaying! right off the bat we ordered like $300 worth of gymboree sale and clearance. this was a great time to do that too, because they were int he middle of gymbucks {which, later will result in like $150 instant profit!}. it JUST all came in the mail, so i am hoping my computer stays alive long enough to get it all posted. i'll let you know how it goes!
take a look at my auctions! tons of 2t and size 5: ebay.com
speaking of nursing, i bought this uber cute nursing cover from milkchic.com and got all geared up to get back to 100% nursing-and it is going great! she still gets her 'milk shake' bottle {rice, formula, a spoonful of fruit or veggie} at night-seriously, this combo works like magic! but other than that she mostly nurses.
haha, the other day we were at mcdonalds and i HAD to nurse her, she was freaking out. so i picked a seat near the back kinda away from people-well, it was also by the back door-and someone just had to come in that way. it was pretty windy so the minute the door started to shut-whoops! there goes my nursing cover! and all my husband could do was laugh-jerk.
oh, and she is REALLY using her hand now! she grabs everything and likes it when i hang my hair in front of her-she likes to stroke it. annnd, my fav. part! she is grabbing her toes!!
all of the sudden she doesn't like to roll over anymore-it has been like a week. and it is hard to practice cause she HATES to be on her tummy. but i am working on that-i just got an exercise ball and she loves to be rolled on her tummy on that-so maybe she'll get used to it.
yesterday i signed zoe up to do a class at the act theater school here in the tri-cites. i am really excited and if she likes it i think i'll continue to keep her in the workshops so she is always doing it. but, if you know zoe then you know she was made for acting-she is pretty much hilarious!
poor thing has been really sick this week-she hardly eats and is pretty grumpy. i'm on a mission though, today she will get into something other than jammies, she'll eat a full meal for at least one of the three, and she isn't gonna be a butt. as i type this she is yelling at rowan to open her mouth so she can put her pacifier in and if she spits it out again she is gonna be really angry. haha, she's all, "don't you even think about it!"
ok, i think that is enough of an update for now.
i really want to get some of the digi scrap book pages up on here to show you my mad skills but i keep forgetting! hopefully today sometime.

look! a video of rowan NOT rolling over =)
i just thought i would add a video of silly rowan. she started rolling over a couple of weeks ago-but just really isn't into doing it {at least not for the camera!} i will lay on the floor for an hour and this is all i get:
i put this on in particular {out of the 1,000 i have of her NOT rolling over} because she tries and tries-then BIG yawn, decides she is too tired, and starts yapping.

last thursday was my last post? seriously?
so i guess i've been feeling anti blogger-sorry friends who come to see the photos of the girls :(
i'll do a tuesday version of 'tt' for you:
13 reasons why i've been mia
1. i've discovered digi scrapbooking {and i'm pretty much addicted!}
2. we were out of town fri-sun for easter with my parents.
3. i'm trying to start this whole ebay-awesome-i make a lot of money-thing.
4. rowan is teething and is fussy pretty much most the day-and the only thing that seems to sooth her...is mommy holding her.
5. i've discovered friday night lights as my new fav. tv show-i got it from blockbuster online and watched one disc after another and then caught up with this season {the second} online.
6. my sister was living with us-it was supposed to be semi permanently. until she changed her mind again and moved to everett.
7. i really haven't taken that many awesome photos the last few days that needed posting.
8. i'm trying to get back 100% breast feeding {instead of the breast milk bottles she was getting for most feedings} and with my 15lbs 8 oz baby this can be time consuming.
9. i'm trying to read 'pride and prejudice.' i saw 'becoming jane' last month and have been really into the idea of jane austen lately.
10. some crazy reason.
11. another one.
12. probably some house cleaning.
13. and one more good reason.
so, i'm trying here. there just isn't a lot of time.
i did get some photos of zoe at the 2 second easter egg hunt with the ugly bunny and maybe i'll put up the four or five digi pages i got done.
so till then!

getting back to basics {an update!}
mommy: i'm great, i chopped A LOT of hair off yesterday-eek! i was trying really hard to grow it out, but i get bored and having a best friend who cuts hair doesn't help the situation =)
i'm finally {very unmotivated-ly} trying to find a job. i hate the idea of having to leave my babies a few times a week to work, but on the other hand-i LOVE the idea of having the extra money. right now i only have some inquiries into the picture people-i worked there when zoe was a baby and liked it quite a bit and the store here could really use my help. on that note-lindsay and i are moving towards getting out photography business up and going and getting our name out there. hey wait, lindsay! aren't you suppose to be over here right now making business cards with me?
my sister has temporarily moved in with us. she is putting out some feelers to see if the tri-cities is right for her. so far so good-her jaw dropped when she found out how little she can rent a luxury apartment for! things are just a little tight in the house for now but zoe is loving having the roommate.
dh: is good! he too cut and colored his hair {thanks jenn!}, he is back to the faux hawk thing-it's pretty hot though.
he is looking into some new jobs, he just isn't happy in retail and said exactly that when taking the target job. he might join up with the carpenters union-both his dad and brother have careers in that dept.
zoe: cute as ever! haha, i'll start hers off with her 'funny' of the day:
mommy- '{shaking my hair around} don't i look hot zoe?'
zoe- 'um, no not really'
mommy- ugh
zoe- 'let me see your hand {touches the top of my hand}.'
zoe- 'no, your just a little warm today!'
preschool is nearing its end =( and i'm trying to get up the nerve to ask all the other parent to maybe do a play group over the summer! that would be a lot of fun and then that way the kids can all still be in touch when their second year at happy hearts starts.
tee ball! woo-hoo! which reminds me i need to get her all signed up. this year we are letting zoe start sports-tee ball for now and then maybe cheer {i have to talk mike into that one}.
we took the girls to see the easter bunny on thursday-and they both LOVED it. rowan did really good and zoe just kinda cheesed it up. shelby and jessica went with us and we got all the girls pictures taken at the picture people-i got a GREAT one of the girls {as soon as i can scan it in i will}.
rowan: four months old! can you believe it? she is so big, well bigger. she is wearing all 6 month and up clothes now. luckily she got to wear most everything i had for her before she was born-i was worried some stuff wouldn't fit her from the get go.
she is eating 'solids' now. i started her just the other day-so now in addition to the night time rice bottle she was already getting, she gets a tablespoon of rice with dha and 1/4 a container of the fruit we are trying that week. she LOVES it, it only took one feeding to get her into the groove of opening her mouth for the spoon and now hardly any come back out. and i started adding a spoonful of fruit to her night rice bottle and now she sleeps a couple of hours longer =) i just picked her up some prunes for this week, because i think we might be nearing some back-up problems.
she is rolling over from her tummy to her left side, it is so cute! i keep trying to get it on camera but of course as soon as i get it ready she either won't do it or she starts to fuss. and i don't count fussing roll-overs since those are fueled by the crying. but, stay tuned i'll catch it eventually!
oh, and she can almost sit up by herself! i know right? but i think it is just because she is so big-as big as most 6-8 month old babies we come across!
so that is us this month in a nutshell!

friday feast {mmm, #2}
On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 as highest), how much do you like your own handwriting?
errr, good question! most of the time i love it-especially in pen. other people tell me i have great hand writing and once i was told my 'numbers' are awesome. so, i guess a 9.
soup
Do you prefer baths or showers?
showers-fast and easy. my girls even just get in with me to expedite all three bathings at once.
salad
What was the last bad movie you watched?
the ten, lame-o!
main course
Name something you are addicted to and describe how it affects your life.
cherry coke-it is unhealthy, it contributes to the list of reason why i'm having a hard time shedding these lingering baby pounds, i get to hear my husband nag me about how annoying this habit is {even though he just quit smoking a month ago!}, and it is just one more of those things that nickel and dimes my money away =(
dessert
Which instrument is your favorite to listen to?
hmmmm, i guess the guitar-like the rock-n-roll kind.
i hope you enjoyed my tasty answers-head on over to fridaysfeast.com to have some more!

a day of fun and photography
so, we had lindsay g. take some more photos of the girls on wednesday! we headed down to howard amon park in richland bright and early. at first it was pretty chilly-and the girls were not having fun, since i had dressed them in tanks and a halter shirt. but, after an hour or so the clouds started burning off and it warmed up quite a bit.
mike had the day off so he tagged along too-it was a looooong day. i think she took like 700 something photos, but i went ahead and uploaded just a few of my favorites!
enjoy!
